    LMAO!!!!!

He isnt the brains behind ALL his music.........

He isnt the best singer in the world no - neither are any of the ones u mentioned...

He is a good entertainer and very marketable...yup..

It does NOT make him one of the "Greatest Musicians Of This Decade" - and i have NOT claimed this......

Demand and talent - we have visitied this one before...

There isnt a demand for talantless no hopers...there is a demand tho for ppl with talant...

    Step forward please mr williams!

    :D

Just because you are popular does not make you good.

Heres another angle on it. Does anyone seriously think that they will be digging out Robbie Williams cds in 20 years time? Or even 10 years time for that matter? Whatever you say, i can guarantee that in the majority of cases you will not be.

The likes of Joy Division never had chart success. Yet mant people still listen to their music nearly 25 years on. Because fashion is fickle and quality lasts. So many great tracks from real musicians with real talent.

They are just an example, theres many more.

Good point. I have heard of David Essex, but i know nothing about him.

However im sure most will have heard "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (or at least i hope).

Amazing to think it didnt even chart.

This debate about robbie williams...just keeps going round and round in circles. Everybody seems to have different opinions on him, but he is shit, and who gives a toss at the end of the day. :D

yes but I'm noticing one recurring theme.

The intelligent, musically astute, cultured people consider him cheese... where as the teeny bopping, unintelligent mackems consider him one fo the greats :D

Doesn't take rocket science to work out who is mistaken - although bri will probably try and argue otherwise ;)

To be fair Jimmy Krankie is a 50+ yr old woman dressed up as a school boy whilst married to an Eddie Large lookalike.

His material consisted of being swivelled about on his husbands knee and walking through the audience shouting in a childish glesga twang "Has anybody seen my Mammy".

    I detest the oddity.
