i would actually agree with u there si however i still feel that having a few yank troops stationed in saudi arabia is no justification for goin to their country, and other countries, and killing thousands of innocent civilians. i might understand why they're unhappy but i personally think they're completely insane. not lacking intelligence, but nuts and i don't think diplomatic discussions with al queda will do the job. these people hate americans. not just george bush but all of them. i'm not too keen meself lol but u knaa, i'm not bout to go and kill 3000 of them

Thats a very american mindset, americans love dualism - everything is black and white, good vrs evil, etc..... In the real world it isn't quite so simple.

Its not a case of we place troops there - they kill 3000 people.

From a islamic arabs perspective these could be considered atrocities:

US theft of arabic oil.
US support of capatilist/fuedal governments that oppress the islamic masses within their own countries.
Positioning of US military bases throughout the arabic world and on sacred land like Suadi Arabia.
US funding of war against palestinian muslims.
US aggression against muslims in Somalia.
US support of Russian war on Chechnyan muslims.
US support of the Indian oppression against muslims in Kashmir.
US support of the Jewish aggression against muslims in Lebanon.
US betrayl of the muslim people in palestine.

An extremists arguement to killing 3000 civilians could be well Americans have killed over 10,000 civilians in Iraq alone...

There are many reasons for them to go to war with us, and this is namely down to our opresive greed fuelled foreign policies.

Al Queda were happy enough with America when they were training them and supplying their arms, all with capitalist money.

I'm by no means a supporter of al-queda... But they were trained in the 70's, since then a lot of things have happened to turn al-queda against the west.

I'm not justifying what they do just putting across their perspective... our governments are also forever contradicting themselves.

Don't get me wrong mate, I'm definitely not trying to justify or be an apologist for Al Queda or any terrorism, just that I can understand better what they're pissed off about. 9/11 is by any stretch an extreme over-reaction in my books.

Bin Laden is definitely not insane though and its a mistake to think so. To borrow a line from Natural Born Killers, he knows the difference between right and wrong he just doesnt care
