that would mean getting a 5 bedroom house, coz carrie is moving in with me, and i dont think i wana do that, coz if u's decide to move out for any reason, im left paying a mortgage for a 5 bedroom house, and i dont think i could afford it!

TBH I dont think you'd be able to get a mortgage for a 5 bed house. You can only borrow 3.5 times what you earn I think.

I'd love to but a house instead but I dont earn enough to get a mortgage anywhere decent. I can only get about £50k and that wouldnt get me a nice house near town. Could get a nice house in Consett though but nobody would want to live with me then and I dont fancy living by myself!

yeah, but if im getting a mortgage in my name (it might have to be in my mam or dads, i dont know much about this kinda stuff) and i let 4 mates move in with me, as lodgers, and make them pay me rent, theres nothing to stop them moving out when they want, so id be stuck paying it on my own!

but, after paying all your rent money, the house still isnt yours!! i can pay basically the same as i would pay to rent, and in the end, its my house, and if i want to move, i can sell it and make profit.

my brother bought his flat for £45,000 and its now worth £65,000 so if he wants to sell it, hes making money off it.

Generallly speaking. Rent costs more than the mortgage would cos landlords are very greedy

Yvonne used to rent the house next door to the house she now owns and she paid double what she pays for her mortgage even though the other house was worse less!

yeah, my brother was renting a flat, and when they worked it out, he was paying alot more to rent, than he would be to buy, it makes sense really to buy somewhere rather than pay rent!
