sad but true :( same with all the big club nights though.... once they get biggish they'll book nice big safe DJ's to guarantee getting the punters in week after week.... for a long time crasher gods and passion had interchangeable lineups week after week, Sankeys and Shindig pretty much do the same as well.

lord knows how aspiring talented DJ's break into this

clubbing would be much better imho without mega superstar DJ's. face it, ppl like Jules, Oakey, Yousef are NOT thousands of times better than many decent DJ's on here

There's always a need for sly comments, keeps the board flowing smoothly:D

On a different note, if someone was to set up another 'house' night in newcastle do you reckon it'd work/ be able to rival shindig if it had line-ups like that?

Yeah i think it would, as far as house music goes Newcaslte has a big enough following for it to work.

More recently ive been drawn to Stonelove, there music policy suits my current tastes i.e. hip hop, funk, soul, electro, house.

Another night would be great compadre. plus when pgr starts back up we'll have that night!

it defo needs something fresh and drastic.

no one has the balls to challenge 'the mighty shindig' though.

what is happening in liverpool at the moment with reagards to the club scene is amazing!. there are no 'regular as clock work' weekly nights and the line-ups are a bit special too! and the prices are unreal!

6th feb aztec vs t-funktion sander k and derrick may at nation for £10!

on 28th feb circus have got fatboy slim AND groove armada playing on the same night for £16.

and for chibuku's 4th birthday, is this possibly the most diverse line-up in the history of club nights???

    Keb Darge presents:
    The Legendary Deep Funk Tour
Kenny “Dope” Gonzales (Masters At Work)
    Josh Davies
    Keb Darge
    Mr. Scruff
    John Peel (Radio One)
    Wandy
    Luke Carr
    And more residents TBC
    10pm – very late indeed.

    this is £16ish i think

    fresh
