I've not played poker online, although I play blackjack most weeks.

If you play sensibly, it is possible to make a fair bit of money, I made £100 earlier in the week from £10 in, not bad going :)

It's funny how you never hear anyone post

"I play at casinos often, and never win any money, or I lose all the time".

If it was that easy, casinos would not exist.

I'm new to online poker so just enjoying the eays money... i'm very cautious though and I think as soon as you lose that caution you lose big time.

I've never been to a real casino as I wouldn't trust myself.

That's pretty good going mate :)

What's your average wager? I heard you hand is based on your bet :s

And your odds are much lower if you bet over £10

I usually stick to £1 or £2 bets, double on 10 or 11 and NEVER raise my bets if I start making a bit of money.

It's quite a safe strategy - hence me not ever getting as high as £250 :)

for blackjack my first few games I played £1 per hand and wrote down all the results, although its very sporadic there tends to be an average of every third hands a win... I play £1 everyhand until I think I'm ude a win then depending how lucky I feel I bet £5 or £25... poker similar betting schemes but with a poker mindset.... it sounds an idiot's plan but I'm upto £500 haven't lost yet and started with £50 2 weeks ago.

I'd get wiped out - I can play intelligently behind a screen but I have a shit poker face.

although I could take you up on your offer one time it would be fun.

let me know when you start.

You watched the poker millions on Sky?

Helen Chamberlain got to the final winning her semi and she has no poker face, shes just herself and doesnt try to hide dissapointment or what not and it threw the others off because they couldnt read her.....

when I'm playing for pennies I'm fine, but when playing for serious money i find it very hard to play to my best ability.

stress is a hard emotion to mask :D

Come to a £20 buy in night then... £20 for about 2 or 3 hours play, good value for money and a decent pot if there are the noraml 6 or 7 players
