NuBars In Nucastle (Central Station Area)

Do the bars around Central Station area have to have the following:

    Lots of Plasma screens
    Pine & leather decor
A DJ with a sunbed tan who wears a woolly hat indoors
Music that must not make you dance but must not be chillout. Is this music called Barcore? (It is the most boring type of music EVER!)
Doorstaff should be from Phoenix security
Female customers should try & wear trilbey(SP) hat or a long scarf
Male customer or Geezers as they like to be known should try & wear a granda cap or a T-shirt with a short scrim like scarf around the neck

A few months back these places were fresh, now they are boring & just clones of the bar next door

These style bars are all the rage down Lincoln also, I still like them though.

Only real bad point, why do they play so much shitty RnB - it is wank:rolleyes: :(

Strong words. I like just about everything about them and wish I could spend more time in them. I would much rather be sat in them than my front room.

Is that what they are called? STYLE BARS!!!!!!!! MY WORD!

I wish each Style bar had a STYLE all of its own.

The Sunbed kids who Dj @ these place must be having a comp to see who can play the worst ever house records, some of the shite you have to listen to while drinking is just not called for.

Re: NuBars In Nucastle (Central Station Area)

    Class! :)

It brings a tear to my third eye see'ing plasma screens being wasted on showing a video of a fish bowl, or some rotating graphic of the bar name looped over and over.

Things do stick out very obviously when i come back up to newcastle (compared to where i live)... all those things you mentioned :D

Anyone been to that "Attic" place..... some genius had the idea of making the edge of the bar "sloping" thereby making it impossible to rest a drink on there - after charging us 8 quid for 2 drinks

I like the 1st or 2. If the world is suffering globalization, then the Central Station area is suffering Barization. ALL BAR MUST BE THE SAME!
