    Exercise the grey matter

    In the 1st World War metal helmets for front line troops were introduced after high numbers of fatalaties caused by shots to the head.

    After the helmets were brought in the number of head injuries actually increased but we still use metal helmets to this day!

    Because they had helmets they thought they were well protected, so they done more trench charges but while running the helmets fell off & then they got shot in the head.

    seeing as you're all too lazy or stoopid to work it out.....

    head injuries went up because more shots to the head resulted in injury, whereas before the helmets a shot to the head was usually fatal!

    not really correct, they now use a material called kevlar. it can stop head shots, it's loads of layers of some ballistci material bonded together. It's what bullet proof vests are made of, it's very heavy I have worn one. Lee Forster will back me on this
