You're suggesting that I give the child your beliefs, not the facts... Do you think Islam Racism & Shaminic Rituals should have lessons devoted to them in primary school?

If not why? In teaching the child someone elses beliefs you can let them deice which is right in later life.

Do you see how your argument is flawed? A child can never be exposed to all the knowledge in the world... Instead a child is schooled in the culture (or desired culture) of it's parent.

i think given the amount of time that religion has had to prove that if you follow this path the world will be a better place (obviously it's worked a treat so far ) i just think it's time common sence had a bash

One is for the benefit of the child (in the parents eyes) the other for self gratification, however take ancient times when it was considered noble to mentor and "love" young spartan boys... It had a positive impact on them in later life.

Personally I live by Jewish law and I consider it a deeply immoral perversion that sickens me to the stomach... but my reaction is entirely conditioned by the society I belong to and may not be harmful or immoral in the future.
