Delusion is when someone convinces themselves that something false is true, faith is when someone places their trust in something they can't prove.... strange question.
i think your confusing that with the ANDIE way of spelling when i think you'll find the male can be either I or Y cheers
faith. you place your faith in the conclusion you (or others) reach.... Don't you feel silly when your smart arse game of words back fires on you?
then I'll ask you whats the difference between science and delusion? This is a stupid game of symantics as faith is at the core of every conclusion the conscience reaches.
I gave up on religion like, it just wasnt for me in the end. But I think its wrong and ignorant to dismiss peoples views just because you dont understand them or believe them yourself. Wether someone believes in Evolusion or Creation its upto them and it doesnt make them "delusional" or a "mug" either way.
any delusional person could never be told that their delusion was wrong and accept it , or else they would in fact be rational or at least sceptical so on this basis Joe is 100% delusional FACT !
init !! so when was the cut off date to register a new religion i never saw the big bill board sign's with that one on
Give Andy a few hours, a medical exam to ignore, and unbridled access to wikipedia, and he can prove anything.
It only really matters when religion denies the (scientific) truth of something which damages the life chances of those in the religion (especially children) and more importantly those outside it. The catholic church's denial of Gallileo's observations or christian scientists denial of blood transfusions to their kids are obvious ones, but there are others.
I disagree it only really matters when one persons beliefs (religious or not) infringe on the lives of others. Racism can be a scientific belief which is very harmful to others, why restrict your logic to religion?
Do you think it's acceptable for a parent to withhold a blood transfusion that would save their 6yr-old's life?
