HARDSTYLE - Whats your thoughts

i personally dont mind it. dont mind people placing their opinions either but when they are repeating the opinions in the same thread it becomes quite annoying. about as annoying as jumping on the 'eddie is shit' bandwaggon.

He is shite unless he is playing House then he is pretty good

Don't like it at all.

"Hardstyle" is very non descript. Sounds like a mash up of HH, hard trance & whatever else they decide to throw into the ring. Sounds like neither one thing or the other to me.

Much prefer to listen to proper HH than anything else...

If Uberdruck are playing it its the dogs, otherwise it dosent so much for me tbh.

I love it , but mainly cos i like hard trance / hard house as well !!

got a recent Kai Tracid mix off Laz - it's canny. wasn't he the originator with his label?

a lot of the hardstyle stuff u heard is shitely made and sounds poor - but some of it's ok... if you're in the right mood.

because kids/chavs like it so it ain't 'cool' i.e. grown ups like deep, electro, new wave prog... if there is such a thing

I got the same thoughts as you ... reminds me a bit of the old style ROTTERDAM HARDCORE ... its with all the distortion noises going on and the twistedness to it ... not my cup of mushroom tea but everything has its place.

Keep it North of the border the clubbers round ere have just lost their hardcore...thats if most of them are old enought to remember it anyway.

Pay attention Peter - I was fucking goading either: a) musical snobs (ie only like what's 'cool', rather than having any real taste of their own); or b) people who would post 'he did ask for opinions' etc. And it's worked, so I'm happy.

used to be really into it. its got very stagnant recently but there are still a fair few wikked tunes if you dig deep enuff. its just covered over with a lot of poorly produced tracks atm

Im not even sure what 'hardstyle' is. Is it the same 'style' thats 'hard' that mark eg used to play in the asylum room at the judgement day?
